John Donnie Harrison, 76, widower of Sally Edna Barrett Harrison, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at NHC Healthcare Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Lee Roy Harrison, Sr. and Helen Louise Hazel Harrison. He was formerly employed by Grendel Mill, retired from Greenwood Mills, having worked at both Chalmers and Mathews Plants and will be fondly remembered for his gift of repairing lawnmowers. He was a member of South Greenwood Assembly of God.

Surviving are two sisters, Myrtis Forehand (Bob) of Greenwood and Mary Walker (J. W.) of Ninety Six; four brothers, Rev. Carroll Harrison (Lois), Walter "Jack" Harrison, Lee Roy Harrison, Jr. (Norma) and Colie Franklin Harrison (Linda), all of Greenwood and a special friend, Tom Witt.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Roy Harrison.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens Chapel Mausoleum with the Rev. Carroll Harrison and the Rev. Bob Forehand officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the chapel mausoleum on Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m.
