John Robert Moore, 87, of 4504 Highway 72/221, widower of Rosie Ella Jones Moore, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Jesse and Ethel Perry Moore. He was retired from Greenwood Supply and served in the South Carolina National Guard. He was a member of Ninety Six Congregational Holiness Church.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Moore (Pam) of Greenwood and Todd Moore (CeCe) of Ninety Six; two daughters, Teresa Scott of Greenwood and Pam Wooten (Robert) of Weaverville, NC; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers Ed Moore and Paul Moore.

Services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Yvonne Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Moore, Gary Wilkie, Denver Brown, William King, Sam Moore, and Steve Davis.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.
