John Robert Wells, 72, of 622 Grier Street, husband of Betty Medlock Wells, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his home.

Born in Abbeville, he was the son of the late Delton and Ossie Belle Norrell Wells. He was formerly employed by Truelove Drywall and a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Bryon Wells (Natalie) of Greenwood, Michael Wells (Stephanie) of Waterloo, and Dale Wells of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will follow at Melrose Cemetery in Abbeville.

Pallbearers will be Preston Wells, Tyler Wells, Ricky Brown, Wayne Sears, Cody Robinson, and Trent Ledford.

The family will receive friends before the service from 11:00 – 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
