Johnie Edward Gillion, Sr., 82, of 103 Pinson Drive, Honea Path, widower of Ruby Jean Jenkins Gillion, died Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Hospice of Laurens County. Born in Saluda, he was the son of the late Johnie W. and Nattie Leopard Gillion. He was a Supervisor at Abney Mills and a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Johnie attended Calvary Holiness Tabernacle Church, Saluda. Surviving are two daughters, Sheri McDowell of Saluda and Teresa Rogers (Danny) of Honea Path; a son, Johnie Gillion, Jr. of Clinton; a brother, Billy Gillion (Sara) of Saluda; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The family members are at their respective homes.
