Johnny D. Dobbins, 70, known in the racing world as "Dynamite", formerly of Greenwood, died Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late John D. and Lena Dorn Dobbins. He was a retired barber and was a member of First Damascus Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Scotty Dobbins (Stephanie) of Gardendale, AL and David Dobbins (Terry) of Greenwood; a daughter, Renae Dobbins of Greenwood; sisters, Joyce Miller (Jerry) of Abbeville and Debra Rodgers of Greenwood; three grandsons, Dillon Dobbins, Jamie Dobbins and Matthew Dobbins and several great grandchildren.

Services will be at 12 noon on Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.
