John Augustus "Johnny" "John Boy" Duckworth, IV, 61, of 3401 Callison Highway, died Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Hospice House.

Born in Portsmouth, OH, he was a son of John Augustus Duckworth, III and the late Mary Spearman Duckworth. Johnny was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and attended Ninety Six Church of God.

Surviving is his father of Greenwood; his daughter, April Timmerman (Tee) of Ninety Six; a sister, Rhonda Carithers of Greenwood and grandchildren, Abby Timmerman, Gracie Timmerman and Drew Timmerman, all of Ninety Six.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Ann Gillian and his brother, Charles Mark Duckworth.

A memorial service, with military honors, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts and Rev. Stanley Sprouse officiating.

Honorary escort will be Tee Timmerman, Vernon Murray, Arland Helmuth, Jeff Peppers and Bob Webb.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

The family is at his father's home, 1117 Ninety Six Highway, Greenwood.
