John "Johnny" David Hawkins, 71, of Ninety Six, SC went home to be with the Lord on March 10, 2019 at the Hospice House of Greenwood.

Born in Jamestown, KY, he was the son of the late Cyrus Christopher and Polly Higginbotham Hawkins. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his sister, Vickie Griffin Fern (Walt); a brother, Joe Hawkins (Helen), both of Ninety Six; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Big Boy.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Mary Ruley, Hattie Robinson, Jeanette George and brothers, Preston Hawkins and George Hawkins.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery, Ninety Six, with the Rev. Donald Davis and Rev. Kenneth Rabon officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Harley Funeral Home.
