Johnny Glenn Albea, Jr. 65, of 1525 East Scotch Cross Road, husband of Cathy Mussetter Albea, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Johnny Glenn Albea, Sr. and Audrey Gasque Albea. Johnny retired from the U. S. Navy after serving his country for twenty two and a half years. While in service he served in Vietnam and the Persian Gulf. He was the president of Springs Civic League in Virginia Beach, VA and was a member of Diamond Springs Church in VA. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children: Jim Grantz, Frank (Karen) Grantz, Linda Grantz, all of Virginia Beach, VA, Aaron (Melinda) Craig of Lexington, KY and Amy (Mike) Noice of Lewis Center, OH; a brother, Derek Albea of Grovetown, GA; seven grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
