Obituary
Joyce Betts Eaker, 77, of 201 Overland Drive, died Monday, December 17, 2018 at Emerald Gardens of Greenwood.
Born in Fuquay Varina, NC, she was a daughter of the late Cleron Titus and Corene Tant Betts. She received her bachelor's degree from Columbia College and retired from the State of South Carolina as the marketing director for the alcohol and drug abuse program. She loved outdoors, gardening, and was an avid reader. She enjoyed knitting hats for our men and women serving overseas in the Armed Forces. She was a member of Shandon Baptist Church in Columbia.
Surviving are her children, Christopher Titus Eaker (Alison) of Columbia and Jo Anne Reinhardt (Randy) of Greenwood; two sisters, Pat Tutor (Terry) of Fuquay Varina, NC and Betty Hester (Bill) of Florence; sister-in-law, Emily Betts; grandchildren, Savannah Reinhardt, Allyson Reinhardt, Cassidy Eaker, and Kelley Nance (Chris).
She was preceded in death by a brother, Bud Betts and granddaughter, Courtney Eaker.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Harrell officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
