Judy Ann Palmer Lamar, 79, of Greenwood, widow of Richard "Dick" Lamar, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2024, at her home.
Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Grace Vaughn, formerly of Simpsonville. Judy dedicated her life to making a positive impact on those around her. As a dedicated commercial and residential agent in the real estate industry and an interior designer, Judy was known for her exceptional service and unwavering commitment to her clients. Her passion for helping others extended beyond her professional life, as she devoted her time to volunteering at the Greenwood Food Bank and serving as a former board member of the Americana Museum of Art in El Paso.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jane Leatherwood; a brother, Wayne Palmer; and a stepson, Robert McClain "Mac" Lamar.
Surviving are her children, Gregg Marshall (Lynn) and Regan Marshall (Trish Gardner); stepchildren, Rick Lamar (Lee Anne), Mark Lamar (Dianne) and Joy Wells (Tom); a sister, Brenda Lancaster (Billy); a brother, Charles Palmer (Mary Ann); grandchildren: Kellen Marshall, Maggie Marshall, Ally Grace Marshall, Blair Lee Lamar Dooley (Patrick), Beth Ann Lamar Johnson (Adam), Robin Parrish (Lucas), Kirby Wells and Kella Wells Smith (Eddie); and great grandchildren: Aiden, Tyler, Joseph, KayLee, John Thomas, Bryson, Logan, Madi, Ella and Nicolas.
A private family memorial service will be held.
