Jule Kelly Canaday, of 1110 Marshall Road, wife of the Rev. DeArmond E. Canaday, died Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Holly Hill, she was a daughter of the late John G. and Cherry Harvey Kelly. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and was a founding member of the Greater Columbia Literacy Council. She supported her husband during his many years of ministry as a pastor with the SC United Methodist Conference and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Greenwood. Surviving is her husband of the home and her two children, William Wesley �Bill� Canaday of Columbia and Cherry Laura Canaday of Charlotte, NC. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Cherry Lee and Elizabeth Gray and her brother, John G. Kelly, Jr. It is respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and memorials made to the Jule and DeArmond Canaday Scholarship Fund, in care of the Spartanburg Methodist College Development Office, 1000 Powell Mill Road, Spartanburg, SC 29301.
