It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kaiden Elijah Deronte' Hardy, who departed this life on January 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 20, 2012, Kaiden was a bright light in the lives of his family and friends, known for his infectious enthusiasm and adventurous spirit. He had a deep passion for playing video games, with favorites like Resident Evil, The Last of Us, and Minecraft capturing his imagination. He spent time constructing worlds with Legos and enjoyed playing on his cell phone. Though he was only 13 years old, his spirit and indomitable nature touched countless lives, and he will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his parents, Chameica Spencer and Willie Hardy, Jr.; siblings, Aaliyah Hardy, Paris Hardy, Taylor Hardy and Jasiah Hardy; grandparents, Darlene Spencer (Robert Clark), Ronnie Waters Sr., Marquis L. Bryant and Willie Hardy Sr.; aunts, Tijuana Spencer, Magnolia Austin, Okeisthya Mitchell and Watisha Hardy; uncles, Deronta Spencer, Ronnie Waters Jr., and Marquavias Hardy; great aunts and uncles, Charlene and Bobby Lipscomb, Ulysses Spencer and Joshua and Beverly Spencer; loving father figure, Shiheem Graham and a host of cousins, family and friends.
He was preceded in death by an aunt and uncle, Jacqueline Spencer and David Spencer, Jr.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Brittany Gist Brannon officiating. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 10 am until 5 pm and on Thursday from 9 am until 12 noon.
