Karen Ridgeway Harvey, 82, of Parker Ave, Greenwood, South Carolina completed her journey home to her heavenly family March 10th, 2024.

A daughter of the late Fred Jack Ridgeway and Nelle Morrison Ridgeway of Ware Shoals, she is survived by two daughters, LeEllen Chandler (Craig) of Georgia and Rebecca Harvey of Greenwood; granddaughter Sienna Chandler; spouse Jim Harvey; sister Sandra Christianson (Don), and brother Jack Ridgeway. She was preceded in death by two precious daughters, brother Jim Ridgeway, and beloved son-in-engagement Oscar Rubio.

A child of farming and friend to all animals, Karen's love for music saw her performing piano, singing, managing radio programming, touring the country, and directing choir. Her administrative career spanned Lander College, firms including Davis and Floyd Engineering, Architects Pulliam and Matthews of Los Angeles, and Richard Barnes Landscape Architecture of Pasadena, California, retiring from Greenwood School District 50.

Compassionate, selfless, and good humored, Karen never stopped making new friends. She will be missed beyond measure.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Todd Leach officiating. A private burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends following the service.
