Karen Hunt Rushton, 62, of 306 Grove Street, died Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her home.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Francis Bryson and Barbara Campbell Hunt. Karen enjoyed nothing more than loving and taking care of others. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren and made caring for family and friends her life's work.

Surviving are two sons, Zach Metts (Shannon) of Bradley and Ashley Rushton of Greenwood; her daughter, Rebecca Rushton Rodgers (Jason) of Ward; two sisters, Barbara Hunt Hemphill of Ninety Six and Katherine Grace Hunt of Abbeville; two brothers, Steven Harold Hunt (Janet) of Ninety Six and Anthony Bryson Hunt (Angela) of Bradley; and four grandchildren, McKayla Metts, Bryson Metts, Emma Rodgers and Ashton Rushton.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Zach Metts and Dr. Terry Bailey officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday from 2 to 3 p.m.

The family is at the home of her son, Zach Metts, 300 County Line Road, Bradley.
