Katelyn Grace Lucas, 29, passed away on September 16, 2026, in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Donald Ray Lucas II and Amy Michelle Todd. She had a heart for caring for others and worked in healthcare as both a patient sitter and a phlebotomist. She was exceptionally skilled at drawing blood, so much so that patients would specifically ask for her when they needed to be "stuck." 

Intelligent, articulate, quirky, and proudly alternative, she embraced the things that made her different. When something interested her, she wanted to learn everything she could about it, which left her with an impressive collection of random knowledge she was always ready to share. 

She loved anime, especially Sailor Moon and Studio Ghibli, comic cons, and playing video games on her Xbox. Roses became something of a signature for her, a fitting symbol for someone who could be both beautiful and wonderfully unconventional. She was funny and silly, deeply empathetic, and genuinely good with people. Of all the roles she held, however, being a big sister was considered one of the things she did best. She will be truly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Along with her mother, she is survived by her fiancé, Phillip Klepfer; son, Tatum Preston Wilson; brothers, Christian Lucas (Julie), and Noah Todd; sister, Hannah Todd; nieces, Gabriella Todd and Marceline Lucas; her beloved cat, Saki; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. 

A gathering to celebrate the life of Katelyn will be held at 5 pm, Wednesday September 23rd at Harley Funeral Home.

Burial will take place at 11 am, Thursday September 24th at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
