Katherine "Kathy" Powell Worthington, 63, of 115 Hill Trace Drive, wife of Arthur Thomas Worthington, Jr., died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Paul Ellington and Katherine N. Driesch Powell. She had her Associate's Degree in Engineering and was a member of Providence Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her children, Shelby Culbertson (Lyle Ouzts) and Arthur "Artie" T. Worthington, III (Tina), both of Greenwood; a sister, Kay Ashley of Greenwood; a brother, Kenneth R. Powell of Winder, GA; five grandchildren, Kaila and Jamie Ouzts, Katherine Worthington, Ashlynn Worthington, Tallen Hadden, and Thomas Sams; three great grandchildren; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Sosby.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday at Providence Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Ben Edwards officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.
