Katie S. Willis, 69, of 302 Highway 221 South, widow of Bill Willis, Jr., died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Abbeville County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Fred and Willie Strickland Simpson. She was a mail carrier with the US Postal Service and was a member of the Greenwood Moose Lodge. She was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are four children, Deborah L. �Debbie� McMahan and her husband, David, Richard Alan �Ricky� Willis and his wife, Tammy, and Jeffery Fred �Freddie� Willis and his wife, Kim, all of Greenwood and William Brian Willis of the home; two brothers, Ray Simpson and Larry Simpson, both of Greenwood; ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Hilda Finley and a brother, Patrick Simpson.
