Kayla Marie Conyers, 27, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Born in Greenwood, Kayla graced this world with her presence on June 23, 1997, and was the daughter of Tony and Mary Ann Conyers Perry. A proud graduate of Greenwood High, Class of 2015, Kayla found joy in her work as a server at Wesley Commons, where her caring nature shone brightly. Above all, she loved being a mom to her son and she cherished every moment spent with her family. Kayla had a special place in her heart for animals, particularly horses, and her love for them was matched only by her love of reading and watching scary movies—showing us all that she had a fearless spirit. Kayla was a beacon of hope and strength. She was committed to her sobriety and took immense pride in her recovery journey, not just for herself, but for Carson as well. She attended New Spring Church.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Samantha Wood; grandfather, Jack Perry; and uncle, Chris Perry.

Surviving in addition to her parents are her beloved son Carson Conyers; grandparents, Barry and Julia Conyers and Donna Perry; sister, Ashley Perry; brother, A.J. Perry, niece, Ava Grace Morse; aunts, Michelle Conyers (Mark) and Dee-Dee Perry-Deitz; uncles, Phillip Perry and David Perry; a cousin who was like a sister, Cheyanne Conyers Prince; and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends before the service from 12 noon-1pm.

The family is at the home of her grandmother, 107 Wiley Court, Greenwood.
