Keith Lambert Taylor, Sr., 61, of 114 Darlington Street, widower of Patsy Murray Taylor, died Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Baltimore, MD and formerly of Ninety Six, SC, he was a son of the late Joe Robert and Virginia Evon Owens Taylor and attended school in Jacksonville, FL. Keith became a paraplegic from injuries received in an automobile accident in 1980, but was able to run a small engine repair business in Saluda for over 20 years.
Surviving are his daughter, Patricia Crawford (Chandler) and his son, Keith Taylor, Jr. (Nikki), both of Greenwood; two sisters, Freida Crews (George) of Waycross, GA and Marilyn Jackson of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Bob Taylor (Denise) of Tennessee; grandchildren, Tiara Taylor of Greenville, Jessica Taylor, Tyler Crawford, Leah Price and Tanner Price, all of Greenwood; and a great granddaughter, Sophia Crawford of Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Charlene Mangels of Jacksonville, FL and Debbie Flowers of Blackshear, GA and brothers, Randy Taylor and Jimmy Taylor, both of Waycross, GA.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel. A private inurnment will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
There will be a gathering of friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
