James Kenneth Derriso, 72, widower of Barbara Haddock Derriso, died Monday, July 18, 2011 at Hospice House, Greenwood, SC. Born in Swainsboro, GA, he was a son of the late James Daniel and Lou Anne Tapley Derriso. Ken was a graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he played football. He retired as a civil engineer with the SC Department of Transportation and served in the US Army Reserves. Surviving is his daughter, Joy Derriso of Belfair, WA; his son, Keith Derriso of Ninety Six, SC; and a brother, Tommy Derriso of Greer, SC.
