Kenneth Jerry Burnette, 59, of 805 Rock House Road, passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and loved ones on Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at his home. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Benjamin and Liller �Lois� Powell Burnette. He was employed by Davis Transfer and attended First Mount Moriah Baptist Church. Ken enjoyed reading his Bible, watching TV and trying to figure out how to keep his computer free of viruses. Surviving in addition to his parents of the home; are three daughters, Heather Fuller (Brooks) of Greenwood, Magen Bartless (Scott) of Hodges and Jennifer Burnette of Greenwood; a sister, Susan Steely (Mike) of Greenwood; a brother, Benji Burnette of McCormick; seven grandchildren, Bobby Butler, III, Bailey Fuller, Andrew Burnette and Carson Pittman, all of Greenwood, Connor, Emma and Campbell Bartless, all of Hodges; and his girlfriend, Syble Jones of Carnesville, GA and her children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Pallbearers will be Michael Steely, Jr., Thomas Kinard, Bobby Butler, III, Calvin Jennings, Matthew Cronic and Brad Alford. Honorary escort will be his friends at the Faith Home.
