Kenneth Ray Hilliard, Sr., 84, of Greenwood, husband of Bonnie Palmer Hilliard, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at his home.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, he was a son of the late Norman H. and Madge Hawk Hilliard. Kenneth was a US Navy veteran and was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church and Hollowtown Church of Christ in Hollowtown, OH. He was a dairy farmer, enjoyed gardening and loved fishing and hunting.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Patrick Harris Hilliard and Bryan McClellan Hilliard; stepchildren, Lori Todd, Roger Palmer and Timothy Shannon Palmer; and a brother, Phillip Norman Hilliard.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Alisa Smith (Ricky), Kenneth R. Hilliard, Jr. (Johanna Sadler) and Anita Graham (Ray); stepson, Paul Palmer (Patty); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and special friend, Brent Emerson.

A celebration of life will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Ninety Six with the Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service at the church from 1:00-2:00 p.m.
