Kenneth Lee Moffett, 79, formerly of Illinois, husband of Shirley Bonebrake Moffett, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022.
Born in Danville, IL, he was a son of the late Leo Kenneth Moffett and Irene Smith Moffett. Kenneth retired from Kraft Foods after 36 years of service. He was a former school board member of the St. Joseph Ogden High School and of the St Joseph Grade School. He was a youth coach for baseball and basketball in St. Joseph and he kept the scorebook for HS basketball games and kept the clock for HS football games. Kenneth was also a bus driver for the softball games and grade school. Following his retirement, he enjoyed golfing and ended up working with Savannah Lakes Golf Course in South Carolina for 21 years. He was of the Methodist faith.
Kenneth was preceded in death by a sister, Rosalind Parrish.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Mike Moffett (Carolyn) of Monticello, IL and Tamara Salerno (Bill) of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren, Ellyn Gannon (Luke) and Britney Haley (Matt); and great grandchild Carter Haley.
Burial will be held 1 pm on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Partlow Cemetery in Armstrong, Illinois.
