Katherine P. �Kitty� Fields, 81, of 107 Ashley Oak Lane, widow of Charles Fields, died Thursday, January 30, 20104 at her home. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late James and Dessie Butler Proctor. Kitty retired from Mathews Mill, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a member of Callie Self Baptist Church. Surviving are a brother; Biddy Proctor and special sister-in-law Bobbie Proctor; two nieces; five nephews; twelve great nieces and nephews; one special great-great niece, Hope Proctor; special caregivers, Yvonne Covil, Carol Davenport, Joann Morris, Mary Tolbert, and Kayce Morris; special angels, Karen Swygert and niece Kathy Hastings; and special Hospice nurses, Kerri, Beverly, and Missy. She was preceded in death by two half brothers, Frank and Bill Proctor; a half sister Mary Shipes; and three brothers, Rusty, Howard, and Red Proctor. Kitty will be buried with her doll, Emily; her rabbit, Olivia; and her bears, Parker and William. In lieu of flowers the family asks that they be omitted and memorials may be made to Tri-County Hospice; 1229 South Main Street Suite B, Greenwood, SC 29646. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the caregivers and Chaplain Bill Ebener. The family is at their respective homes.
