Kenneth Lamar Loggins, 78, of Honea Path, beloved husband of Judy Ann Loggins, passed away Friday, June 26, 2026, at his home.
Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Howard and Lois Marie Loggins. Lamar formerly worked at Greenwood Mills and retired from Duke Power. He was a member of Crossroad Fellowship Church. Lamar was a true enthusiast of life’s simple joys. A loyal Nascar fan, he found thrill and camaraderie in cheering for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhart, a passion that brought excitement to countless Sundays. When he wasn’t savoring the exhilaration of the races, Lamar could often be found tending to his yard. Family meant everything to Lamar. He delighted in every opportunity to gather his loved ones close, sharing stories and creating memories that will forever live in the hearts of those who survive him. Conversations with Lamar often circled back to his faith, as he never hesitated to talk about the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve Loggins and Bobby Loggins. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Richard "Ricky" Loggins (Robin), Kenneth Loggins (Anna), and Penny Riu (Tony); sisters: Karen Wrenn (Marvin "Peewee"), Ladessa Lily (Don) and Pat Goetting (Luke); a brother, Dillard "Denny" Loggins (Teresa); sister-in-law, Vickie Loggins Crain; grandchildren, Blake Loggins, Dillon Loggins (Abbey), Katie Smith (Ryan), and Earl Loggins; and great granddaughters: Ella Grace Loggins and Sadie Loggins.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday at Crossroad Fellowship Church with the Rev. Paul Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews, Bobby and Steve Loggins.
The family will receive friends before the service at the church from 2:00 – 3:00 pm.
