Everett L. Johnson, "Larry" "L. J.", 74, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
After 22 years of traveling with the love of his life, they recently moved near family and became residents of Hodges, SC. Larry served in the U. S. Navy, was a member of the American Legion Post 104, Sevierville, TN and was a Road Captain for the Legion Riders. With the love of Brotherhood, Freedom and Harleys, he rode proud. Adored by all of his family and friends, Larry was known for making you laugh when you least expected it and did so even on the day he passed away.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 33 years, Linda Johnson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ramie and Dave Perkins and Florence and David Hicks; a granddaughter, Brittany Swam; grandsons, Nicolas Perkins and Casey Rapciewicz; great grandson, Kegan Rapciewicz; a brother, Gene Jerome; nieces, Tammy Felger and Vicki and nephew, Steven; sisters-in-law, Joyce Lynch and Sandra Dailey "Little Sister" (Dennis Dailey); nieces, Dori Warnken, Sarah Wideman (Cody), Katie Stidham and Libby Stidham, Sabrina Krauss (Preston); nephews, Timothy Warnken (Brenda), Jake Warnken and Greyson Stidham (Rebecca); a great niece and nephew, Madalyn and Evan Warnken;.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a niece, Eugenia McOmber and a sister-in-law, Mary Jerome.
To fulfill Larry's wishes, a celebration of life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the American Legion in Greenwood.
