Lawrence �Larry� Clifford Proffitt, III, 53, of 222 Shrine Club Road, husband of Brenda Gail Capell Proffitt, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Lawrence Clifford Proffitt, Jr. and Thelma Marie Marler Proffitt. He was a paint contractor and was a member of East Side Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of the home; four daughters, Toni Dickey, Jennifer Nettles, Samantha Reeves and Kayla Butler, all of Greenwood; two sons, James Aaron Proffitt of Jacksonville, FL and James Ricardo Buckner of Greenwood; two sisters, Sandra Moore of Greenwood and Wanda Pawnee Kelly of Palm Springs, CA; ten grandchildren.
