Ernest Larry Sutherland, 65, of 2903 McCormick Highway, husband of Orene �Cricket� Tate Sutherland, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late David Fletcher and Frances Elizabeth Hammett Sutherland. He was a 1964 graduate of Berea High School and was employed by the City of Greenwood. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of Westwood Baptist Church, Greenville. Surviving is his wife of the home; a son, Ernest Larry �Ernie� Sutherland, Jr. of Greenwood; a sister, Shelby S. Owens of Greenville and a brother, Kenneth Dale Sutherland of Powdersville.
