Laura Leigh Walker Godfrey, 58, of 10 Meeting Street, Edgefield, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Edgefield County Hospital.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Paul Walker and the late Joyce Thompson Walker. Laura was a very talented musician and singer. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Angela Mathis of Greenwood; her step daughter, Tammy Hunter of Edgefield; two sisters, Donna Brown of Greenwood and Jennifer Walker of Columbia; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Mathis and Jacob Mathis both of Greenwood; and a special grandson, Chase Hunter of Edgefield.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Lethco officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
