Laura E. Gilliam Griffin, 88, formerly of Ninety Six, widow of James W. "Jadie" Griffin, Sr., died Monday, September 25, 2017.
Born in Blacksburg, VA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Waylon and Cora Elizabeth Herd Gilliam. She retired from Self Regional Medical Center and was a member of Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Anne G. Boiter (Kevin) of Hickory Tavern; a son, Jimmy Griffin (Sandra) of Ninety Six; a sister, Tenney Privette of Simpsonville; ten grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tracey McBride and a son, Tim Griffin.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Louie Murray officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Bronson Griffin, Brandon Griffin, Cory Griffin, Chad Griffin, Kelly Smith and Richie Maldonado.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
