Lelion Dexter �Lee� Elledge, Jr., 91, formerly of 1206 Highway 34, widower of Doris Gibson Pratt Elledge, died Thursday, June 28, 2012 at Hospice of the Upstate, Anderson. Born in Ware Shoals, he was a son of the late Lelion Dexter Elledge, Sr. and Annie Rush Elledge. He was a 1942 graduate of Clemson University and was a US Army veteran of World War II. He served in the 551st Parachute Infantry Battalion, participating in the Battle of Bulge and earning a Bronze Star. Following his service to his country, Lee was employed by Ball Seed Company for 30 years and was the former co-owner of Doris� Greenhouse. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Anne E. Tinley of Jonesboro, GA and Terry Lee Shields of Lawrenceville, GA; two sons, Lelion D. Elledge, III, of Greenwood and John Pratt Elledge of Ware Shoals; a sister, Dorothy Hines of Ware Shoals; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
