Obituary
Lester Dewey Nelson, 90, resident of NHC Greenwood, passed away Monday, February 7, 2022.
Born in South Carolina, he was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Lee Nelson. He was previously employed with Parke Davis and a member of New Market Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir. Lester was a US Army veteran, where he served in WWII; a Hejaz Shriner, and Freemason. He loved tending to his yard and loved his church.
Surviving is his daughter, Beverly Robin "Robbie" Nelson; three stepchildren; and numerous step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Lawson Nelson; second wife, Murree C. Nelson; a son, Steve Nelson; two brothers; and three sisters.
A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
