Linda Katherine Cobb, 64, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Milwaukee, WI., she was a daughter of the late Charles Lee Klotz and Nancy Lee Treu Klotz. She was a Greenwood High School graduate and received her associate degree in criminal justice from Piedmont Technical College. Linda was employed with Eaton for over forty years as a production coordinator. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Linda was a woman of many talents and passions. She brought joy and laughter to all those around her, earning her a well-deserved place as one of the G.O.A.Ts in her friend group "The Lunch Ladies." Linda was cherished by her friends, earning her the nickname "Kootie" among a select few. Her sense of humor was infectious, lighting up any room she entered.
A skilled baker, Linda's talents shone from a young age when she bested the older ladies at the Greenwood County Fair with her famous Poppy seed cake, the secret ingredient being prune baby food. Her green thumb was unmatched, though sadly it ended with her, not passed down to her children.
Born a Yankee, Linda embraced the South and its traditions, becoming a true southerner at heart and South Carolina Gamecock fan, "Spurs Up". She instilled in her children the value of hard work, always encouraging them to strive for their best. Linda's love for her family was evident in everything she did, cherishing her role as "Oma" to her adoring grandchildren, spoiling them in ways only a grandmother can.
She is survived by her children, Stacie Cobb (Christi), Stephanie Harrison (Hunter), Tony Cobb II (Joanna), Tonya Harrison, and James Henry Cobb II (Audrey); sister, Sheila Brock, brother, Charles Klotz (Karen); grandchildren, Alliyah, Kadi, Tripp, Grayson, Bella, Hailee, Bailee, and Rilee; dear friends, "The Lunch Ladies"; fur baby, Gixxer; many nieces and nephews; and remained close to her former husband's family.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Harrison II and a brother-in-law, Ken Brock.
Services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Jan Setzler officiating.
The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
