Linda Sophia Jones McCarthy, 49, of 8A Green Acres Road, Ware Shoals, passed on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Self Regional Healthcare.

Born in Washington, N.C., she was a daughter of the late John Derrel and Frances Lee Willis Jones. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by two sons, John Mark McCarthy and Dakota James McCarthy.

Surviving are her daughter, Alisha Marshall (Nick) of Abbeville, two sons, Toyce Ned McCarthy, III of Greenwood and Daryl Luke McCarthy of Ninety Six; a sister Lorraine Evans of Ninety Six; two step sisters of North Carolina; and ten grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Ned McCarthy, Jr officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family members are at their respective homes.
