Linda Beam McLane, 68, of 408 Herndon Drive, wife of Giles Donald McLane, died Sunday, December 12, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Concord, NC, she was a daughter of Arlene Hare Beam and the late Thomas Brice Beam. She attended Mars Hill Junior College, Lander College and was a librarian. She retired from the Greenwood County Library, Ninety Six Branch and was a member of Siloam Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband of the home; her mother of Kannapolis, NC; her daughter and son-in-law, Ange and John Cogburn of Phoenix, AZ; her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Mandy McLane of Greenwood; two brothers, Ron Beam of China Grove, NC and Tom Beam of Danville, VA; 13 grandchildren, Allan McLane, William McLane, Bradley Cogburn, Thomas Cogburn, Kerry Cogburn, Sara Cogburn, James Cogburn, Daniel Cogburn, Joshua Cogburn, Heather Cogburn, Timothy Cogburn, Elizabeth Cogburn and Margaret Cogburn. She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Suzanne Beam Griffin.
