Linda Lucille Hughes Phillips, 73, of 201 Logan Road, died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at her home. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Richard M. and Elsie Anderson Hughes. Linda earned her Associates Degree in Business and retired from CPW after 35 years of service and she catered for the people in Greenwood for over 30 years. She was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church, where she was a member of Earline Shirley Sunday School class, and also attended Little River Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Richard Heath Phillips (Tracy) of Greenwood; a daughter, Mickie Ellis (Andy) of Donalds; and four grandchildren, Heath Phillips and Emma Grace Phillips of Greenwood and Anna Ellis and Jesse Ellis of Donalds. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Hughes. Honorary escort will be the member of the Earline Shirley Sunday School class. In lieu of flowers the family asks that they be omitted and memorials be made to the Golden Rule Ministry at Little River Baptist Church; 2847 Keowee Road, Honea Path, 29654 or Northwest Fire Department; 201 Oakwood Drive, Greenwood, 29649.
