Linda Gail Knight Richardson, 65, of Ninety Six, wife of George E. Richardson, Jr. passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born on April 23, 1961, in Aiken, she was a daughter of the late Ralph Donald and Jewel Brooks Knight.
After graduating from Ninety Six High School, Linda devoted much of her life to the food and beverage industry. Alongside her loving husband, she co-owned “Hannahs” for seven cherished years. Additionally, she lent her talents to Carpis, winning best waitress three years in a row and becoming well-known for her dedication and genuine heart. Her professional endeavors were marked by the same warmth and grace that defined her personality—she never uttered a cross word and carried herself with kindness and compassion.
A woman of many passions, she loved attending her acerbic class and dancing, delighted in the music of Elvis Presley and George Strait, and enjoyed fishing- simple joys that added vibrant color to her days. Beyond her interests, Linda deeply cherished her family. The love she bore for them was evident and unwavering, a constant source of strength and comfort.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, George "Running Bear", who affectionally referred to Linda as his “Snow White Dove”; her sisters Kathy Burdette (Brandon) and Rhonda K. Goldman; her sisters-in-law, Grace Mitchell, Darlene Ratchford (Mike), Marti Richardson, Pam Cromer (Gerald), and Louise Brown (Bobby); forever sister-in-law, Rebekah Knight; her brother, Donnie Knight (Beverly); brothers-in-law, Gary Quarles, David Morris, and Burle Shidle; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog and faithful companion, Bayoo Boogie Woogie Booyau Booshay.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Knight.
