Liller Powell Burnette, 86, of 805 Rockhouse Road, widow of Benjamin Harvey Burnette, Jr., died Friday, March 16, 2018 at her home.

Born in Plains, GA, she was a daughter of the late Augustis and Addie Hooks Powell. She retired from Self Memorial Hospital after 35 years of service and was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Benjamin Harvey Burnette, III of McCormick; her daughter, Susan Steely (Michael) of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Michael L. Steely, Jr. (Ashlyn Barrett), Candice S. Campbell (D.J.), Heather Fuller (Brooks), Magen Bartless (Scott) and Jennifer Burnette; 12 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Jerry Burnette, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will be in First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Eric Inks, Scott Bartless, Brooks Fuller, Michael Steely, Jr., D. J. Campbell and Bobby L. Butler, III.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to their hospice nurse, Gail Davis, for her loving care.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 3 p.m.
