Ora Lois Bryant Murrell, 75, of Ninety Six, wife of William "Bill" Murrell, Jr, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born on February 2, 1950 in Augusta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Bryant and Maggie Quarles Bryant. Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose love knew no bounds. Her warm kitchen often filled the house with the delightful aromas of her cooking. A talented artist, Lois loved to draw and paint, often expressing her creativity with vibrant colors that brought joy to those lucky enough to enjoy her artwork. She found comfort in simple pleasures, like having her back scratched, and her laughter and love will forever echo in the hearts of her family.

A dedicated member of Good Hope Baptist Church, Lois found great joy in teaching Bible School, sharing her faith and wisdom with the youth in her community. Her unwavering spirit and kindness were an inspiration to many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughter, Paula Dana Murrell Mills (Stanley); grandchildren, Alexis Murrell, Patrick Mills, and Meredith Mills; great grandchildren, Karlii and Jason Murrell; sister-in-law, Rosita Bryant; brother-in-law, Donnie Cockrell; two nephews; and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jason Ray Murrell; her brother, Thomas Russell Bryant; and grandson, Austin James Murrell.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Lee Going officiating.
