Maggie Lorene Wideman Whitfield, 66, of 511 Davis Street, widow of Bobby Joe Whitfield, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Hospice House. Born in McCormick, she was a daughter of Maggie Mae Turnage Wideman and the late Ralph Marion Wideman. Lorene was an employee for over 30 years at Parke-Davis now known as Coviden and attended Whitehall Church of God. Surviving in addition to her mother of Greenwood are a daughter, Lisa Newman; a son, Jeffery Whitfield, both of Greenwood; two sisters, Shirley Lowery of McCormick and Elizabeth Brock of Greenwood; five brothers, Lee Wideman, Pat Wideman, Ricky Wideman, all of Greenwood, Charlie Wideman of Abbeville and Curtis Wideman of Saluda; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
