Loretta Lee Koochagain, 85, widow of Kirk Koochagain, of Benson, NC and formerly of Columbia, SC, died on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
Born on May 3, 1939, in Augusta, GA, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Lois Sullivan Prince. Loretta was a press operator in the pharmacy industry, where her hard work and commitment shone through. She cherished the beauty of life, surrounded by flowers and plants, and always had a soft spot for birds. Known for her youthful spirit, she found joy in simple pleasures such as word search puzzles and solitaire, and always enjoyed the finer things in life. She held her Christian faith close, drawing strength from it throughout her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill Raynor (Harold) of Benson, NC; her son, William D. Webb (Judy) of Anderson; a half-sister, Kim Roper (Bobby) of Moncks Corner; a cousin who was like a sister, Jean Rogers; grandchildren, Holly Tyndall (Jeremy), Gregory Raynor (Patricia) and Jacob Webb; great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Izzy, Logan, Luke and Karlee; her dog, Sassy and other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by a cousin who was like a sister, Jean Rogers; her brothers and her dog, Co-Co.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
