Louise Roach Tumblin, 69, of Greenwood, wife of Roger Dale Tumblin, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Oconee County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Frances Fuller Roach. She retired from Greenwood School District 51 after driving a school bus for many years and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Louise enjoyed bowling on various leagues with her husband, Roger and cherished memories of dancing in her younger years. Her greatest pride and joy were her family. She shared 43 memorable years of marriage with her husband and was as beloved mother. However, her role as "Granny" held a special place in her heart, particularly her unique bond with her granddaughter, Maddie.

In addition to her husband, Roger she is survived by her children, Travis Heaton (Lisa) of Fountain Inn, Karen Byerly (Wesley) of Mustang, OK, Christopher Tumblin of Greenwood, Lynn Hall, Toni Baumgardner, both of Ninety Six, and Scott Tumblin (Lynn) of Clinton; brothers, Kanada Roach (Becky), Ricky Roach (Linda) and Moony Roach; twenty grandchildren; and twenty five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Eugenia Childress and brother, James Roach.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kelly Hudgens officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.
