Lovick T. Daniels, Sr, 76, formerly of 135 Brentwood Drive, Greenwood, died Sunday, May 22, 2011. Born in Columbia, he was a son of the late Bennie Branham and Allie Thomas Daniels. Mr. Daniels received his BA degree at Lander University and his BS degree at Clemson. He lived in Columbia and worked for Claussen�s Bakery until he moved to Greenwood where he taught at Greenwood High School until his retirement. He was a Mason of the Acacia Lodge #94 in Columbia, a former member of Kilbourne Park Baptist Church in Columbia and a member of South Main Street Baptist Church in Greenwood. Surviving are a son, Lovick Daniels, Jr. of Connelly Springs, NC; three daughters, Terri Allgood of Augusta, GA, Linda Stevens of Pickens and Libby Smith of Greenwood; three sisters, Louise Stewart of Salley, SC, Betty Roche of Greenwood and Dottie Sewell of Ninety Six; a brother Bennie Daniels, Jr. of Jackson, MS; and six grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Columbia. Harley Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
