Lucy Jean Newman, 57, of 538 Circle Drive, wife of Randy Edwards, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Harley P. and Marcelle Cleveland Newman. Surviving is her husband of the home; a son, Danny Ray Simpson; a daughter and beloved son-in-law, Jeannie and Josh Edwards; brothers, Billy Newman (Lisa), Allen Newman (Bonnie), Coley Newman (Kathy), Keith Newman and Palmer Newman, all of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Austin and Brittany Simpson, Jaykob and Jayden Edwards; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews that she cherished dearly.
