May Lynn Everett Hall, 60, of Cabin Road, widow of Kenneth H. "Pita " Hall, passed away at Hospice House on Monday, April 20, 2015. She passed, wrapped in the love and prayers of friends and family too numerous to count, under the care of the wonderful Hospice staff only two weeks after a sudden diagnosis of stage IV cancer that had spread to her brain. Lynn spent the final days of her life having "slumber parties " at the Hospice "spa " with her beloved younger sister, Susan; her sister-in-law and "beach buddy, " Donna; her cousin and life-long friend, Terri, and best friend and daughter, Perrin. Lynn was born in Danville, VA, the elder daughter of James Hiram Everett and the late Kathleen Carson Parrish Everett. She was her Daddys princess, a graceful and talented dancer, and an accomplished student. She graduated from George Washington High School in 1972, then moved to Greenwood and attended Lander College, where she graduated with a degree in business in 1977. She married the love of her life, Pita, just after college, beginning a 37-year-union that would weather major home remodeling and other storms through a shared love of music and of each other. Lynn held a variety of jobs in her life: buyer at Belk, real estate and insurance agent at Dantzler, loan officer at Capital Bank, commercial insurance agent at Palmetto Insurance, and recently the same position at Crotts & Associates. Throughout her working life, she was known for taking care of all of her customers as if they were close friends. A true Southern lady, she loved to sit on the porch with family and friends, enjoying the evening breeze and a cold drink. A perfect day for Lynn would include feeling the sand between her toes during an early morning walk on the beach, teaching dance steps to her granddaughters, and enjoying a piece of homemade pecan pie. She is survived by her daughter, Perrin Hall Brunson of Columbia; her son-in-law, Tyler; her two beautiful granddaughters, Maggie and Sylvia, and another granddaughter, Alison Patricia, due to join the world in June. She is also survived by her father, James H. Everett of Greenwood; her sister, Susan Everett Corley of Laurens; her brother-in-law, David; her nephew, Andrew Corley of Boiling Springs, NC, and his wife, Meghan; a niece, Rebecca Corley of Laurens, and many much-loved in-laws, cousins, family, and friends. Lynn loved to pass on words of wisdom, providing comfort and support to those she loved. We leave you with her favorite "pearls " to remember her by: - No matter how overwhelming the "forest " may seem, there is always a tree. Find one thing to focus on, deal with that, and move on to the next one. Before you know it, you'll be out of the woods. -When you're gone, your loved ones won't be clinging to memories of how fast you got the towels folded-they'll remember the love, laughter, and time you spent together. -And maybe, most importantly, Always wear moisturizer. Memorials may be made to the Williams Syndrome Association, 570 Kirts Blvd. Suite 223, Troy, MI 48084 or Hospice Care of the Piedmont, 404 W. Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646. '
