Mabel Charles Lomman, 100, of 502 Ellison Avenue, widow of William Henry Lomman, died Monday, April 11, 2011 at the Saluda Nursing Center. Born in Henderson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late James and Lula Sprinkles Charles. She was a waitress, working for many years at The Star Caf� and the Holiday Inn and retired from Urquhart�s Florist. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Adult 1 Sunday School Class. She was first married to the late William R. German and was also preceded in death by her daughters, Sara Lou German and Lois Anne Cameron and a son, Charles German. Surviving is her best friend of many years, Colleen Smith, of the home; granddaughters, Rynthia Clements and Carmen Depalma, both of Arlington, TX, Bonnie Goldman of Ninety Six and Karen German of Denver, CO; six great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren and her son, Paul German.
