James "Mac" Marshall McFerrin, 84, of Greenwood, widower of Rachel Boyd McFerrin, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Claude Herman McFerrin and Lily Blake McFerrin. Mac was the owner of McFerrin Enterprises and was an Army veteran. In his leisure time, Mac sought excitement at the poker table and he loved the game of golf.

Surviving are three sons, James Glenn McFerrin, Duane Marshall McFerrin (Tiffany) and Stephen Franklin McFerrin (Suzi); two sisters, Claudia Lewis and Peggy Reville; six grandchildren, Kensley Rachel McFerrin, Jordan Nicole McFerrin, Julia Suzann McFerrin, Emilee Grace McFerrin, McKenzie Cheyanne McFerrin, Jacob Duane McFerrin; and two great granddaughters, Adaley Dove and Parker Grace Cockrell.
