Mae Burroughs Price, beloved wife, mother, and widow of Ed "Bo" Price, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024, at the age of 87. Born in Greenwood, SC, Mae was a daughter of the late Ralph Burroughs and Francis Simpson Burroughs. She was a remarkable woman whose warmth and kindness touched many lives.
She was an accomplished artist, gardener, cook, and cosmetologist. She even learned to fly! Mae was a military wife and together, she and Ed traveled extensively. She and Ed owned and operated Bypass Auto Parts from 1977-1986.
In addition to her husband, Edward and parents, Ralph and Francis, she was preceded in death by a son, Mike W. Price; sisters, Betty B. Harvley, Jean B. Jones, and Helen Burroughs; brothers, Herschel Burroughs, Cecil Burroughs, and Junior Burroughs.
She is survived by her children, Debbie Price and Eddie Price; sisters-in-law, Ruth Leopard, Nancy (her husband, Jimmy) Holtzclaw, and Merle (her husband Milo) Hill; brother-in-law, Otis Harvley; and grandson, Keith Webber.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorials Gardens.
The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
