Clara Mae Attaway Whatley, 91, of 314 Janeway, widow of Wallace Nelson Whatley, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at her home. Born in Saluda County, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Orzena Attaway. She was retired from Whatley Brothers Upholstery and was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church and the Reapers Sunday School Class. Surviving are two daughters, Jean Whatley and Marsha W. Thompson and her husband, Ridgely; a sister, Myrtle McDowell; two granddaughters, Stacey Thompson and her husband, Randy Pace, and Lindsey Thompson and a great grandson, London Pace, all of Greenwood.
