Obituary

Maggie Turnage Wideman, 91, formerly of 152 Orange Avenue, widow of Ralph M. Wideman, died Thursday, July 7, 2016 at NHC Healthcare.

Born in McCormick, she was a daughter of the late John and Lillie Mae Waters Turnage. She was a member of Harbor of Hope Ministries.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorene Whitfield, and two sons, Leonard Wideman and Ralph Wideman, Jr.

Surviving are five sons, Lee Wideman, Pat Wideman, Ricky Wideman, all of Greenwood, Charlie Wideman, of Abbeville, and Curtis Wideman, of Saluda; two daughters, Shirley Lowery, of McCormick, and Elizabeth Brock, of Abbeville; and several grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Harbor of Hope Ministries with the Rev. Heath Easler and the Rev. Matthew Bixby officiating. Burial will follow at Wideman Cemtery.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Smith, Jimmy Dodgen, Steven Lawson, Triston Lawson, Ronnie Elliott, and Zach Wideman.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Harbor of Hope Ministries.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Maggie Wideman account, c/o Harley Funeral Home and Crematory, PO Box 777, Greenwood, SC 29648.

The family is at their respective homes.
